About
Equestrian, HSI Level 2 coach, and mum of three small kids.
I'm living the overlap of horses and motherhood right now: the early mornings, the muddy buggy wheels, the rides that get cut to 15 minutes, and the ones that don't happen at all.
This is where I share what's actually helping, as I figure it out.
When I was first pregnant, I heard plenty of comments suggesting horses and motherhood couldn't really coexist. I didn't follow any equestrian mum accounts back then. It still felt like a private hope rather than something I could say out loud.
What I've learned since is that they can coexist, just not always in the way you imagined.
In September 2022, I rode at the Dressage National Championships with a nine-month-old at home. Then came two more babies and a long, unplanned pause. When I finally rode down the centre line again, the preparation was different and so was I. What surprised me most was how much lighter it felt.
I've been coaching riders for years, and I run my own business. But none of what I share here comes from theory. It comes from living it, with a lot of trial and error along the way.
Horses don't have to disappear just because kids arrived. But you do have to let it look different.
The kit that makes yard life with a baby easier, so you can spend less time packing and more time with your horse.
Yard Days: the how and why of taking little ones to the yard. Safety systems, real jobs by age, play, and printables for the tack room wall.
Coaching tools to help you ride with purpose, even when you only have 20 minutes.
The Equestrian Mum Diaries podcast and my blog are where I go a little deeper: guilt, identity, mental load, and the everyday reality of horses and kids.
Every week or two, I send one email: a practical tip, an honest story, or a new resource. No filling your inbox for the sake of it.
